Here’s what my students say about our lessons:

"Upon acquiring my beautiful 1920’a Banjo Ukulele, originally as a fine and beautiful thing to decorate my lounge, the vendor insisted that I could only have it if I played it which provided me with a challenge, having never played an instrument before!

When I said that I would take lessons, and pay his asking price of £1,400 without quibble if he stopped making a fuss, he was unmoved and still not impressed and did not believe me until I mentioned Gemma’s name . Ah yes, he said, “Gemma Cullingford, Norwich excellent teacher , I have heard a lot about her. Book some lessons with her and of course you may possess it and I will re-string it into the bargain to give you the best sound. I may check up on you, mind, this historic instrument is for playing and not for ornamentation!”. A year later I have pleased many others with my playing of this beautiful instrument due to the careful, diligent and most enjoyable guidance of Gemma both in one-to-one tuition, and in groups, and so this testimonial is in fact two!" "Jenny came to our home to give beginner ukulele lessons to me and my son (aged 4) in Spring 2012. She was very friendly, patient and approachable and made us feel very relaxed about learning. She coaxed my (easily distracted) son by specially learning songs that he knows to engage him and improvising with percussion when the uke got too much for him. We really enjoyed singing in the living room and her flexible approach made me feel as if i was progressing fast to play the music that I wanted. Thank you Jenny, it was lots of fun!!" Liz Avery 2012

“I really look forward to the lessons which are very helpful and also fun. Why else play the ukulele! She is very good at explaining matters and gently correcting my errors. I'm looking forward to joining the Norwich ukulele society and would certainly recommend Gemma”. Alan browne
